Although there are many kits available today that come with all parts needed to build a Custom Chopper some people still prefer to buy the parts they need for themselves. However, you must be aware that the cost of these parts will be considerably more than if you were to move a complete bike kits, you can buy.
In this article we take a look at some of the main parts equipment you need to buy if you intend to build your own client chopper from scratch rather than using kit.
Item 1 - Chassis - is what the rest of the helicopter will be built around and will be your most expensive purchase. It is important you take the time of your choice and choose the one that will suit the riding position you want to take when you use your whole machine.
Item 2 - Engine - Another important piece and will be too expensive to buy, but what will drive the motorcycle on the road when the county. As with the chassis there are many different types and sizes of engines to select. The one you choose will depend again on how you want the finished motorcycle to look. But in general most people will opt for either the Shovelhead, Panhead Knucklehead or styles of motors.
Item 3 - Exhaust pipes or Drag Pipes - When you choose these for your machine, you should make sure you select those that match the style of machine you are building. It is important make sure yours have heat shields on them as they protect your legs from the heat generated by the engine.
