The 2010 Chevrolet Grand Sport is hardly a model of specialized low volume, but it could be a runner streetable. Available in roadster and styles Removable roof coupe body with a choice of six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, it is essentially a Z06 in the body and suspension, deduction made of aluminum frame.

Few complain about the 6.2-liter non-turbo LS3 V-8 on a prodigious power and torque and fuel surprising (16/26 EPA city / highway mpg) at a price affordable enough for the Corvette. And if the standard 430 horsepower and 424 lb-ft of torque is not sufficient an option of two bumps exhaust mode these impressive numbers to 436 and 428.
Surprisingly (at this price), the LS3 engine to six-speed manual Grand Sports are hand built alongside Z06 and ZR1 V-8 GM in Wixom, MI special compilation engine installation and the runner-boast as lubrication Dry sump with separate Oil Tank to prevent oil starvation during hard cornering view, plus a differential and a cooled rear-mounted battery. Also available as standard with six-speed manual is a fantastic system that Launch Control modulates the torque-Full Throttle 100 times per second to maximize available traction. The driver can simply stand on the gas and side step the clutch a coherent development of four seconds 0-60 launches.
Corvette Grand Sport ride on large (275/35ZR18 front, 325/30ZR19 rear) tires high performance alloy wheels with unique Z06 brakes size: 14 inch front rotors with six-piston and rear 13.4-inch rotors with four-piston calipers. A step above standard in Corvette performance (thank you more insistent "gearing") and especially the dynamics, they are civilized on the road again fiercely capable on a track.
