Should I get a 120 GB PS3 Slim or a used 160 GB PS3?
First a little background: I've decided to get a PS3, and it so happens that my brother is willing to sell his 160 GB PS3 (older) to me for $200 (he bought it for $400), and he'll throw in a controller and a game. My brother bought it in Japan while in the military a while back, so it won't be under warranty for long. Part of me is worried that it somehow got damaged in the flight, and I won't notice any problems until well into the future. However, it does work!
The newer system has much less space, but it's smaller and it's newer! It would cost me $100 more, but I would have the security of knowing that it is MINE and that no one has played with it before. The warranty would be brand new! Money really isn't a concern (although having $100 extra would be nice for extra games and controllers).
What should I do Yahoo? Should I trust the brand new Slim for $300, or should I buy a hand-me-down from my brother for $200?
The difference between 120GB and 160GB is very slight. You will either not fill 120GB, or will want something like 500GB (cost around $100).
Normally I would suggest looking at a 3rd party warranty, which you could get at less than $100 and have the same piece of mind, but I dont know if they will repair a Japanese unit in the US, so you may be better buying a new one.

US $6,100.00
