Canada Blower Co. completed the engineering of PT Power Tube Make-Up Air System - one of the best options for larger industrial plants ventilation air make.
When exhaust fans are provided for ventilation, for both industrial and process exhaust and personnel comfort, creating a negative pressure inside the building. This negative pressure causes several problems:
- Process exhaust systems are less efficient and can not function properly.
- Down flow can occur through gravity vents and result in the back venting of products combustionfrom of chimneys and stacks of heaters and technological Equipment.
- Are designs that have a dsicomfort employees. Safe operation of exterior doors may also be affected.
CB Power Tube Fan Make-Up Air System solves all these problems economically, even on the coldest winter days.
In the winter, conventional make-to-air systems have the hot cold Outdoor air prior to entering the building. This is an expensive process in both equipment and continuing energy cost. The Power Tube Fan Make-Up Air System is a simpler system, that uses waste heat buildings, and the basic principles for the provision of aerodynamic, tempering and distributing make-up air. And that it cost buy than conventional make-up air systems, install and make to work.
PT Power Tube Fan Make-Up Air System uses a special propeller fan fitted with fan blades and straightening housing to (optional hole in the side wall of a building near the ceiling roof assembly model is available). An engine operated Shutter on the outside wall opening under a protective weather hood attached. A long specially constructed reinforced polyethylene pipe is with the fan Discharge orifice connected to lead to fresh outdoor air into the building and in mood by mixing of cold outside air with warm air near the plant ceiling Reaching the ground.
Special size and distance from the discharge holes in the polyethylene pipe to produce a relatively high velocity turbulent jets of air. This turbulent Vortex jet flow and mixes air surrounding entrinment particles in the wake of the warm air blanket and the entire starting very cold outside air in a relatively short distance. The result is heated make-up air for the price of non-heated make-up air.
Power Tube Make-Up Air Fans are available in sizes 18 to 48 for available for air flows up to 40,000 CFM.
PT Power Tube Make-Up Air System is a thick tube of tissue from high density polyethylene fiber (built 8 x 
with poly-laminate coating in a thickness of 6 mils. It is 3.8 ounces per square yeard material. Burst strength is 118 kg per square inch. The material is flame retardant and meets NFPA 701 standard. The tubes are available in two colors: blue and white. One end of the polyethylene pipe is employed at the plant.
Sufficient make-up air should be provided to exhaust from the general ventilation and Ventilation process to compensate. Generally, several Power Tube Fans will be required to distribute themselves into the air throughout the plant. If additional tempering of make-up air in certain areas of plant is needed, it can be added to unit heaters.
